WhiteNoise is ready! — Evanesco Network Completes All W3F Grant Milestones
RPC Tor-like access — WhiteNoise RPC For Substrate
Today we are thrilled to announce that Evanesco (EVA) has completed all its Web3 Foundation Grant milestones, creating the WhiteNoise RPC for Substrate! As a multi-chain privacy ecological platform, EVA hopes to bring security and low fees encrypted assets liquidity to Web3. Thanks to all committee members for their continuous support and guidance. Now we are closer to providing secure network infrastructure for the encryption ecosystem.
What is WhiteNoise
WhiteNoise is a private network protocol for Evanesco Layer0 Network. It is designed to provide comprehensive network privacy protection, including link privacy, node privacy, data privacy, and traffic privacy. It’s a decentralized and open network, where anyone can join as a node to relay data transmissions, or as a client to generate private connections with each other.
WhiteNoise Protocol has superior robustness, ease of use, and cross-platform. We’ve implemented the WhiteNoise protocol in Go and Rust and both provide friendly SDK, allowing upper-layer applications to easily integrate.

WhiteNoise RPC For Substrate
In the two Web3 Foundation grant milestones, Evanesco completed a Tor-like testnet and a privacy RPC client adopted to the Substrate framework.
In practical applications, we often use RPC to config Substrate nodes, query information, transfer funds or call contracts. Using HTTP RPC will expose the network information of both nodes and users, increasing the risk of user assets and node operation.
To address this issue, we add a WhiteNoise-based RPC component to Substrate Framework to improve the network privacy for both RPC clients and Substrate nodes.
By enabling this component, Substrate nodes and clients can send RPC requests and responses through the WhiteNoise network. RPC messages will pass through the WhiteNoise routing node and reach the destination in a multi-hop private connection. In this way, users’ personal information and assets can be better secured. At the same time, our two-way privacy feature also provides valuable privacy protection for nodes.

Special Features
WhiteNoise provides network privacy protection like TOR, I2P, or dVPN but also has its own features:
- Without loss of privacy, WhiteNoise has a multi-hop connection providing better privacy protection than VPN and dVPN schemes;
- Unlike Tor, no one can know the entire connection, even both sides of the connection;
- In addition to regular link privacy, identity privacy, and data privacy, it also has the capability of traffic privacy;
- Messages are encrypted and encapsulated, and each node can only see the content related to the current node. Our end-to-end encryption scheme speeds up data transmission;
- Secure handshake based on Noise Protocol.
What’s Next?
Next, EVA will improve the multi-chain ecosystem by integrating the WhiteNoise protocol and a Security Fortress Privacy Protocol Middleware Product for multiple chains. As a result, EVA aims to provide safe, reliable, and efficient network access and encrypted financial services for many ecosystems such as Web3.0 applications, NFTs, and DeFi.
Fortress Wallet has been designed to protect the privacy and security of users’ digital assets. The user’s traditional digital assets, DeFi assets, and NFT assets will be processed in batches for privacy and security through the Fortress wallet.
The Evanesco Team will launch Fortress pool V3. The V3 version will pay more attention to the completion of the user’s investment income while completing the privacy protection of the assets. It will simultaneously realize privacy asset protection and cross-chain asset intelligent investment.
Evanesco Network
Evanesco (EVA) is a unique financial protocol platform in the Web3 ecology that combines Layer0 network infrastructure and privacy computing framework. Based on the double-layer consensus mechanism, EVA not only provides a decentralized, flexible and secure network infrastructure for the cryptocurrency ecology but also supports the scalable and efficient protection of private assets for smart contracts.
Evanesco received its grant from the Web3 Foundation, which funds research and development teams building the technology stack of the decentralized web.
